Described by judges as “very handsome”, this shortcrust pastry pie is made by hand at Theydon Bois-based butcher shop Quality and Excellence. The judges also commended the texture of the pastry, generous amount of meat in the filling and the judicious use of Stilton to complement rather than overpower the other ingredients.
